President Paul Kagame has named Nella Mukazayire as Rwanda's new Minister of Sports, among other cabinet adjustments.
Mukazayire, who was the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Sports, succeeded Richard Nyirishema, who had been in charge of the Ministry of Sports for four months after replacing Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju.
Rwego Ngarambe was appointed as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Sports, while Godfrey Kabera was named as the Minister of State in charge of the National Treasury.
Kagame also appointed François Regis Uwayezu as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, succeeding Mukazayire,
Uwayezu was most recently the CEO of Tanzanian football side Simba SC before parting ways after just four months "due to reasons beyond our (Simba) control."
He had also served as the Rwanda Football Federation Secretary General and APR Vice-Chairman.
