Darko Novic says APR ‘have no striker’ and criticises his player, Mamadou Sy, after recent poor performances.
After his side’s 3-0 victory over a struggling Kiyovu Sports on Wednesday evening, the APR head coach was enraged when he was questioned about his player position adjustments during a post-match press conference.
Novic insisted that his side are having to cope without a striker as he does not have enough alternatives in the squad, with Victor Mbaoma sidelined due to injury.

The Mauritanian international was benched by Novic during his side’s 3-0 win due to his subpar performances in the Police and Rayon Sports matches, in which he was subbed out at the half-time break.
APR have now scored 11 goals in the league this season, with their 3-0 win over Kiyovu being the first time that they have scored more than two goals in a single league game this season.
Darko Novic’s side are fourth in the league standings with 22 points, eight points behind their bitter rival Rayon Sports, from 11 matches.
