Birmingham Legion defender Phanuel Kavita has been handed his first senior Rwanda call-up after being picked in a 30-player squad for November's 2025 AFCON Qualifying matches against Libya and Nigeria.
Kavita, who captains the American second-tier side, was among the players who received their first national team call-up along with AS Kigali's Didier Ndayishimiye, who had featured for the team in the 2024 CHAN Qualifiers.
The 31-year-old was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to a Congolese father and a Rwandese mother.
Amavubi begins the camp on Monday, 11 November, gearing up for their final Group D AFCON Qualifiers against Libya on 14 November at Amahoro Stadium before travelling to Nigeria to face Super Eagles at Uyo Township Stadium four days later.
Rwanda are third with five points after four games.
