APR sealed a 64-61 victory in overtime over REG in a Rwanda Basketball League game held at BK Arena on Friday night.
The reigning champions extended their undefeated streak to seven games with the triumph tonight and are the only unbeaten team in the league.
Jean Jacques Boissy sent REG into overtime with a last-gasp three pointer that completed their comeback and tied the game at 59-59.
However, Ogoh Odaudu's side were unable to maintain their composure and rythm in overtime as they only managed to register two points in five minutes, seeing them trail 64-61.
Boissy chipped in a game-high 22 points and eight rebounds, whilst Olivier Shyaka added 15 points and seven rebounds.
Antino Jackson was APR's leading scorer, grabbing 18 points, four rebounds, and five assists. Wilson Nshobozwabyosenumukiza and Axel Mpoyo both had double digits as they sank 15 points and 11 points, respectively.
APR stayed at the top of the league table with 14 points after seven games, while REG are second with 13 points.
